Embolectomy or Thrombo-embolectomy is a procedure to remove clot from the artery. Its is usually an emergency procedure to save the affected part of the body, limbs. It may be elective procedure when there is critical ischemia but the patient presents late. Timing of the embolectomy is critical to save the limb.
